I wanted to thank you for all your help in choosing to go ahead with our Interlock roof. The relaxed and humble manner of your sales visit put me at ease and allowed the product and company that stands behind it, to sell itself.
The roof was installed back in May 2016 right over our existing asphalt shingles. One year later and my family is very pleased with the end result. Our old asphalt roof, from buying our new construction home about 15 years ago, wore out early. When my 6-year-old son got a roof leak in his bedroom and we needed to act quickly. Interlock helped by covering the old roof with roofing membrane until the installation of our aluminum roof could be completed.
Moses, the installer, and his team worked for a week diligently installing the ‘black slate’ shingles on our multifaceted roof. To make the job even harder, we integrated a solar panel installation along with our new roof and had the panel anchors fastened to the roof, then individually flashed around with the aluminum shingles. In this way, there were no penetrations through the roof and kept the Interlock lifetime warranty intact. Interlock’s installers worked diligently with our solar panel installer and even adjusted which part of the roof they started on to allow him time to position the panel anchors properly.
We replaced our 2 skylights (with more energy efficient ones) during installation, and had the installers cut a long
‘ridge-vent” along the longest peak of our roof to improve air circulation in our attic during the hot summer months. This was another reason we went with aluminum shingles, to reduce the temperature on our second floor during the hot summer months.
Dealing with Angelo, Moses, and Interlock, in general, was an extremely professional and pleasant experience. Yes, the product is expensive – at least 3 times more expensive than a traditional asphalt roof replacement. But as long as the company stands behind its product and warrants it for life, the roof will save money in the long run, and provide a lifetime of beauty and “roof armor” (as I like to call it). I have no regrets on ‘investing’ in my quality roof.
